InRoads/SelectCAD (Certificate) This course is designed to provide knowledge of and the experience necessary for fundamental control of the InRoads SelectCAD Civil Engineering design software owned by Bentley Systems (Previously owned by the Integraph Corporation). This course covers all of the basic core InRoads SelectCAD version 8 functionality including terrain model creation & display, Horizontal & Vertical alignment layout, Roadway Modeling, COGO, viewing Profiles & Cross Sections, computing earthwork volumes, as well as using the Plan & Profile Generator. The class incorporates basic and intermediate uses of the InRoads SelectCAD software to generate engineered results and design components that are requirements for most Civil Engineering projects. After the basics have been covered Trainees are encouraged to bring in actual project work (if allowed) in order to practice InRoads SelectCAD functionality learned in class.

Excel Spreadsheet for Engineers (1.2 CEUs)This Course is designed to introduce engineers to the powerful engineering tools available in Microsoft Excel. In the first day, the Course will start with an introduction to the excel environment including the concepts of worksheets, workbook and how to link information. Next to this introduction will be using Excel to create and customize different presentable charts. The course attendants will then be introduced to different functions that are built-in the excel environment which are relevant to different engineering disciplines. At the end of the first day, creating and editing simple Macros within excel will be introduced to the course attendants. They will then be shown how to create simple functions that are relevant to their different Engineering disciplines.
In the second day, the course attendants will learn how to use excel as a linear algebra tool. For example, they will learn how to use excel to solve a linear system of equations and how to transpose and invert matrices. Next to this, the students will learn to use the optimization and analysis tools within excel that are relevant to most engineering applications, specifically using “goal seek� “solver�and “Fourier analysis�tools within excel. Finally, the course attendants will learn how to handle large amount of data and how to lookup values from large tables of data.

DreamweaverThis course is designed to provide practical training in the usage of Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 to develop basic websites and incorporates areas of design, accessibility, layout and basic principles of CSS.
