This course is designed to help students develop skills in the use of computerised accounting software in a business environment at an advanced level. It covers specialist skills in troubleshooting, preferences and linkages as well as importing and exporting files. Participants are trained in the use of software covering important transaction types and procedures required in both service and manufacturing industries.
The following topics will be covered in the course:
�Work with cards for customers and vendors;
�Balance the company chequebook and reconcile accounts with statement;
�Customise MYOB;
�Enter historical balances for receivables and payables;
�Work with an existing inventory and create auto-build items;
�Use the relevant reporting features of MYOB to extract relevant and timely information;
�Set up payroll and enter employee details;
�Use and modify a chart of accounts for a company;
�Create pay cheques and analyse payroll reports.
Course Objective
The course aims to increase productivity by providing participants with the skills and knowledge to use MYOB to perform more specialised operations such as customising MYOB, performing more specialised and end-of-period operations with specialist skills in troubleshooting, preferences and linkages, importing and exporting files.

This six hour practical course is designed for people who have completed introduction to MYOB and are looking towards extending their skills.
Course Material
Please bring basic stationery like pen and paper. Participants will be provided with the latest version of Advanced MYOB book.

If you have a solid understanding of MYOB, but wish to learn about the advanced features of this accounting package, then this is the course for you. Utilising the advanced features allows you to configure MYOB to look like your business. Learn how to: set up payroll, add employee details and conduct a pay run; generate payroll reports and finalise the end of a pay year; set up a petty cash in MYOB; track and monitor your credit cards; manage files; and to import and export into and out of MYOB.

Finalise the end of a pay year8. Verify, backup and restore MYOB data files9. Work with MYOB’s password and security features10. Set up a petty cask operation in MYOB11. Perofrm end of month operations in MYOB12. Track and monitor your credit cards13. Customise the payout of invoices, statements and other forms14. Importing and exporting into and out of your MYOB datafile
