Beginner Kayaking If you’ve never kayaked before or have limited experience, this beginner kayaking course is for you. The instruction begins with our specialized "Dry Land Schoolâ€? in which we focus on the basics. This includes; equipment identification and use, paddle strokes, safety, and hazards.
The course then moves on to the river where you will spend time learning how to maneuver and master several paddle strokes. Just as you begin to get used to your boat, the river begins to move faster and you will get plenty of opportunities to develop and practice some river reading skills, identifying eddielines and understanding stream flow dynamics. Our ACA Certified instructors help you learn the lines through the rapids and clue you in to the easy routes. Excellent and personalized kayaking instruction makes for a quality learning experience.
