A Traineeship/Apprenticeship involves full time work with an employer who provides an opportunity to learn all aspects of an Automotive Vocation. This is a structured program where on the job learning is combined with off the job Vocational Training.

People currently working in the Bicycle industry and wanting to gain a qualification
People who have completed some units of a Certificate I, Certificate II or Certificate III qualification from the Bicycle training package and now wanting the entire qualification
People who would like to work in the Bicycle industry
People looking for a change in career
People who would like to gain skills by completing some units and not the entire qualification

Employees work within a bike shop or equivalent undertake servicing and minor repairs of bikes, including servicing of wheel hubs, mechanical and hydraulic braking systems, steering, suspension and drivetrain systems. Removing, fitting and minor repairs to tyres, wheels and fitting of accessories may also be included.

Entry requirements
You must be empolyed as a trainee and must have signed a Registered Training contract as a trainee to be eligible to undertake training in this program. Schoolbased traineeships are also available.
