Border Crossing & National Safety Code

This course is designed to provide the student with a solid understanding of how border crossings and regulations apply to commercial truck driving. In this 6 hour course, the student is taught customs documentation, U.S. border regulation. Map reading, Trip Planing and Scale house.

At Modern Training Ontario experts in this field will teach procedure for proper and accurate paper work submission. This seminar will explain and prepare students for the paper work involved in the daily routine of a commercial vehicle operator.

Modern Training Ontario Inc. experts will also instruct students how to properly complete the Canadian and United States standard documentation. This will include Log Books, Bills of Lading, Customs Manifests, in bound and out bound, plus all other weight and measures procedures.

This 4 hour workshop gives drivers a solid understanding of the process of crossing the border with commercial shipments between the United States and Canada from either direction. Topics covered include clearance methods, documentation, Prior Notice regulations, and FDA and USDA requirements.

Understanding current Can/US border regulations and documentation requirements (for drivers), where to go and what to do when crossing the border.
