Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) The Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) is the leading professional association in the country for supply chain management professionals. With more than 40,000 members and program participants working in all sectors of the economy, PMAC is the principal source of supply chain training, education and professional development in Canada. The highest achievement in professional supply chain management education in Canada is the Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) designation.
Called the Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program, the program leading to CPP accreditation was redesigned and enhanced in 2007. The new program shifts the focus from purchasing to strategic supply chain management to meet the evolving needs of the marketplace.
Individuals who have successfully completed a business degree program at a Canadian university, or a business degree or diploma program at a Canadian college or technical institute will be deemed to have met the admission requirement. Others will be required to complete a minimum of six and a maximum of 10 courses at a post-secondary institution in various business management knowledge areas. Practical experience requirement: minimum of three years progressive supply chain experience.

Purchasing CertificateHumber, in co-operation with the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC), Canadas leading source of high quality education and professional training and development programs in purchasing and supply management, offers a six-course certificate program. This certificate is designed to help provide the training and education necessary to pursue a career in purchasing. Please note that the Principles courses component of our certificate is developed and maintained by the Purchasing Management Association of Canada and provides credit toward PMACs Certificate in Purchasing and its Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) designation.
