General Chinese Course

Advanced Course

This coures is suitable for students who are in the middle level and know about 2000 vocabulary. The content of the course includes society, economy, culture, and many other fields about China. The main content is from newspapers, magazines and literature. Every course focuses on different topics. For example: ",self-awareness",, ",entertainment",, ",human being and sciences technology", and so on. Our students can master around 1500 new words, including Chinese idiom and slang. Morever, through studying the course, you can understand Chinese culture, speak fluent and idiomatic Chinese, freely and deeply express your ideas .

Elementary general Chinese Course includes 60 hours and is 2880 RMB, Intermediate general Chinese Course includes 40 hours and is 2400 RMB, Senior general Chinese Course includes 40 hours and is 2400 RMB. The textbook which we use is ",New Practical Chinese Reader Workbook", published by Beijing Language And Culture University, Chinese Conversation", and some special textbooks offered by our institute.

Note: Class sizes are about 6 students. VIP private teacher add 20% fee. If you register more than two people register, you can get 10% discount. You can consult us about the teaching mode, such as one-to -one, one-to-two one-to-three, one to four if you prefer this method.

Intermediate Course
introï¼? This course is suitable for the students who know about 1000 vocabulary.Our textbook focuses on the lives and the development of work for foreigners in China. The content is new, natural and vivid. Dialoge is the main teaching method in the class in order to allow our students to express themselves in different situation. Morever, students can speak Chinese properly and correctly. Our students can master about 1800 vocabulary, can fluently express their opinions about some topics through study of the course.

Elementary Course
introï¼? Elementary Course is suitble to the students who have very little or no previous study of Chinese. After the elementary course, students can master simple daily conversation: such as self-introduction, greeting, shopping, taxi call, dating, asking for help, ordering dinner, seeing doctor, booking tickets and so on.
Business Chinese Course:

Advanced Business Chinese Course
introï¼? This course is suitable for the students who have finished the intermediate business course. The course includes both business knowledge and language learning. Through the whole study, you can get to know and disccus popular and tender subjects in every field of economics in Modern China, which makes the students natrually master the terminology and knowledge of business. Futhermore, you can get a thorough understanding about basic situations in the fields of Chinese economics. Students can master about 1000 specialized vocabulary and read Chinese newspapers.

Elementary Business Course is 3200 RMB and includes 60 hours of instruction. Inermediate Business Course is 3200 RMB and includes 40 hours of instruction. Senior Business Course is 3000 RMB and includes 35 hours of instruction. The textbook we use is ",Business Chinese Textbook",, ",Get to know China", and some special business Chinese book we offer.

Intermediate Business Chinese Course

introï¼? This course is suitable for students who have an intermediate level of Chinese. It mainly includes corporation structure, office equipemnt, schedule program, conference management, working plan expression, business development disccusion, advertisements, complaint and explanation, employment and firing, staff training, corporation culture, business letter and so on. Upon completion of the course, students can master about 1600 words, and speak fluently in daily working life, arrange business activities and related events.

Elementary Business Chinese Course
introï¼? This course is suitable for some students who study basic and practical language knowledge and skills.
Upon completion of the course, the students can master the following content:
1. Necessary ceremonial communication, such as: welcome, greeting, introduction, apology, congratulation and so on.
2. Practical daily communication, such as shopping, travelling, making calls, dating and so on.
3. Basic business communication skills, such as company introduction, product introduction, consulting or opinion expression, and so on.
4. Some negotiation and discussion skills, such as price bargain, making and correcting plans, coorperation disccusion, evaluation, problem analysis, problem solving and so on.

You can systematically understand Chinese culture and customs, current society situation, the knowledge of business etiquette and so on. After finishing the course, our students can master about 1200 words and 200 common sentences, communicating in Chinese for the basic business.

Chinese Character Course

introï¼? The content of the course includes: the history, constitution and systematicness of Chinese character. After finishing the course, the students will know and write over 1000 character, 90% of them appear in daily reading such as newspapers and magazines.
The character course is totally 1200 RMB and includes 20 class hours, the textbook is ",learn words in pictures", and some special book(s) we have.

Family Chinese
introï¼? Family Chinese classes are designed for foreign familiy members who live in China. The main content focuses on daily life dialog. The place of studying usually is in students’, home.
Accroding to different situations of different families, we will tailor the content, time, tuition and other details accordingly. If you want to know more, please consult with us.

Children Chinese

introï¼? This course is suitable for students under 15 years old. We concentrate on training the daily conversation ability of our students, properly adding some character teaching courses. The classes interesting and vivid activities not only attract children, but also fit their cognitive characteristics. After finishing the course, students can master about 2000 words and 1500 characters, fluently speak Chinese in daily dialogue, read passages,and understand Chinese customs and traditional culture.
Children Chinese Course is 4800 RMB and includes 60 hours of instruction. The textbook is ",Children Chinese", and some special textbook(s) are offered.

This course is a series of lectures on Chinese Opera (Xiqu), and an introduction to Chinese culture by Master Teacher Lu Suossen from the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts/ NACTA (Beijing).

This course will provide a history of Chinese Opera (Xiqu) and will examine the aspects of performance (singing, reciting, acting, martial arts, dancing and the particularity of training). The course will look at the conventions of the stage performance: the different types of roles and characters, costumes, facial designs and facial make-up. The music in Xiqu will also be examined. The course will draw comparisons between Xiqu and other kinds of theatre and art forms. Also, the present situation of production and of directors of Xiqu (Chinese Opera) will be examined.

The lectures will be in Mandarin with translation in English and French (to be confirmed).

The lectures will be held in Fall 2008 on Fridays from 1pm to 4pm at t he Montreal Chinese Community and Cultural Centre, 1088 Clark St, Montreal Quebec.
