UNIT - IV
Unemployment - Underemployment and Labour force participation - Labour Shortages and surpluses - Manpower imbalances - vacancies - Measuring unemployment and vacancies - economic and Social costs of unemployment and vacancies - correctives for imbalances.
Planning of human resources at the macro level - need, objectives and integration with over-all economic planning.
