The Executive MBA degree program at UTS in Sydney, Australia is specifically designed for senior executives or those aspiring to be senior executives. The 12 subject Executive MBA distinguishes itself from our 16 subject MBA through its focus on "executive" leadership.

The Executive MBA builds on your technical, professional and interpersonal skills to give you the confidence and ability to strategically drive a business.

This course gives students the opportunity to broaden their understanding of management activity to include such important areas as finance, leadership, statistics and international management. It provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective senior managers.

The Faculty of Business at USC is firmly committed to developing business capacity by delivering high quality programs that meet the needs of contemporary business and assist individuals to develop their careers. The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program is designed to provide the opportunity for busy executives to upgrade their knowledge through a unique format where students progress through the program with the same group of peers. Classes are attended only by EMBA students with significant work experience and are delivered through intensive weekend classes once a month for two years.

Working with a cohort, this lays the foundations for a powerful learning environment by using computer based simulations and problem solving activities to challenge skills, attitudes and beliefs. Teaching staff for the EMBA are selected both from USC and externally, based on their expertise, practical experience and academic rigour. In addition the EMBA provides the opportunity to network with peers and industry leaders, enabling candidates to develop those all-important business and industry contacts.

The emphasis of the EMBA is on providing a professionally-oriented program of study which develops understanding and problem-solving ability in business and management issues relevant to both public and private sector organisations. Participants are given the opportunity to develop their strategic thinking, leadership skills and competencies in areas such as marketing, accounting, financial management and economics. The program integrates skills and competencies in key business areas by involving participants in reflection and learning from real examples �including their own �of business strategy and its implementation.

Executive Master of Business Administration with focus on Entrepreneurship

Flanders Business School is the only school in Belgium offering the ",Executive MBA with Focus on Entrepreneurship.", FBS launched this master after master program in 2000, and since then has been building up expertise in this specialist area via its research center ILC² and via intensive innovation programs in businesses.

This is a two-year program and a residential course. Applicants need to prove they have three years of relevant work experience in order to be eligible for the course. Participants will follow a program consisting of 8 modules.
�In the first year, participants will explore the building blocks of a traditional MBA such as Finance, Strategy, Marketing and Human Resource Management.
�The second year will bring entrepreneurship into practice. Participants bring a new business idea to the class and develop this opportunity into a viable business plan. Participants will conduct market research to create a solid foundation for their plan.
�The MBA culminates in a Master Thesis, which consists of a well-founded business plan presented in a workshop-formula to a jury of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, managers, and their fellow MBA participants.


�FBS-MBA students typically come from large businesses, which send high potential staff to FBS to learn how they can initiate new, profitable projects within the business. Students also come from SME that want to initiate growth, and from family-run businesses where successors need to be able to take the business to the next, higher level.


�FBS is located in Antwerp and works closely with the renowned Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. Amongst other subjects, FBS-MBA students take a module in Global Entrepreneurship from the Kellogg School of Management.


�FBS has been in receipt of the prestigious NVAO accreditation for their MBA program since 2004.
