Electrical and Electronics Engineering Design and Technology (Diploma) This course is an electrical program for students who have a basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. It is of interest to licensed electricians, and technicians. It is intended to provide students with an understanding of electrical control processes, control time sequences, and program skills based on the Allen Bradley SLC 500 family (if possible, operating RXLogix 500 on computer). Emphasis will be on practical working procedures through PLC and relevant products. MLC provides a newly updated PLC lab with all the necessary equipments and network so that the students can get hands-on skills. The Robot lab can allow the students to develop the ability to operate and program for industrial robots in the authentic industrial environment.

Responsibilities of Electronics Engineering Technologists
Graduates use their technical and practical proficiency to implement and extend current technology, and may develop prototype products, optimize designs or manage system operations. These electronics professionals take a hands-on approach to applying engineering methods and principles, and are typically called on to perform test engineering and evaluation activities, as well as to provide manufacturing support and quality assurance. They often guide concepts developed by senior electronics engineers through the stages needed to become actual products or services. With a strong emphasis on practical, “hands-onskills, Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing diploma graduates have been the first choice for technology focused corporations for over 75 years.
