Essentials of French grammar. Though all assignments and examinations are written, oral practice is provided through the use of a CD. Students also submit oral exercises to the instructor via voicemail. Prerequisites: 101: none or a score of 0-14 on UW Placement test. 102: C grade in FRENCH 101 or score of 15-30 on UW Placement test. 103: C grade in FRENCH 102 or score of 31-106 on UW Placement test. Written permission from instructor allows enrollment in these courses.
