UberGlam offers a range of Part Time Fashion Design courses! For your convenience you can learn how to design and sew your own clothing part time! UberGlam offers day, evening and/or weekend courses and welcomes anybody who has a passion and flair for Fashion! We also offer exciting Fashion Design Workshops!

This program offers students a comprehensive look at the fashion design industry: from the history of the industry to principles of fashion design, from the actual design of clothing to issues surrounding a fashion design show. At the end of the program, students will also have the opportunity to stage their own show showcasing their unique designs.

Students will learn to transfer their fashion illustration sketches into technical drawings used in the fashion industry. Students will learn to transfer from a free hand drawing into computer generated images for use by sales agents, vendors, or manufacturers in other countries. Students will have a strong foundation in building their portfolio or use the techniques to learn to work in the fashion industry. Topics covered:

1. Introduction to Adobe Illustration
2. Approaches to technical drawing
3. Building basic body blocks
4. Learn how to construct a garment
5. Transferring technical drawings into different formats
6. Portfolio and presentation

Students will learn basic sewing techniques fundamental to garment creation. Topics covered:

1. Industrial sewing machine familiarity
2. Basic sewing techniques �seams, hemming, serging, zippers
3. Creating garments for portfolio presentation - use of commercial patterns
