Fashion Technology Workshop The course is designed to provide you with an understanding of products and processes used in the fashion industry. This is supported by visiting speakers from the industry, including major high street fashion retailers, as well as guidance with research projects. The course provides the technical and management skills to meet the demands of a career in the fashion industry.
Our excellent specialist facilities include multiple Lectra CAD/CAM pattern development workstations, a dedicated design CAD suite including Illustrator and Photoshop software, fabric production labs, a weave CAD/CAM centre and excellent product performance workshops. Local and national industry support the course with materials, equipment and guest lectures, as well as providing project briefs and support.
First year modules cover: Fashion Technology, Pattern Technology, Textile Materials and Visual Communications.
In the second year you will develop your knowledge and skills from year one and study Technical Design Development, Commercial Processes and Textile Finishes including Product Performance.
You have the opportunity of a one year industrial placement, generally working at the head office of a high street retailer.
The final year involves three modules: New Horizons, Prototype and Product Development and a dissertation.

Computer Assisted Fashion DesignThe one year UG Certificate in Computer Assisted Fashion Design is designed to fulfil the specific training requirements of design focused organisation through the basic foundation program of design with the information technology.

Fashion Apparel DesignThe 3 year Graduate Program in Fashion Apparel Design aims to produce professional designers who are equipped to exploit the career opportunities available in the broad field of fashion and who are keen to respond to the challenges of designing for a better future.
The program provides the opportunities to fulfil creative, intellectual and practical potential through a program of study which recognises the multi-disciplinary nature of fashion and associated areas. The program also aims at developing design solutions within the existing constraints of fabric, labour, etc.
To develop viable design aesthetics, the students are encouraged to understand, simplify, adapt and employ the vast design data bank of our Indian heritage for the contemporary Indian scenario.
To achieve this emphasis is laid on in-depth understanding of the essentials of design as well as the production and manufacturing processes of the apparel industry. The students are given inputs on how fashion functions, the trends and cycles, the history, the influences, the components of color and fabric, line and shape.
NB - In addition to the FAD, students can avail the opportunities to pursue the graduate program (B.A., B.Com) through correspondence course or externally. Term-I

Computer Aided Textile DesignThe 2 year P. G. Program in Computer Aided Textile Design aims at developing creative ability and technical skill for designing fashion textile for the export and domestic consumption of indian textile traditional as well as modern. The Home Furnishing are also gaining importance and many many leading textile manufacturers are in need of Textile Designers with computer Knowledge.
The Computer Aided Textile designing will be a need and program emphasizes on design and development of textles and its ornamentations, which is basic raw material for fashion designers. The major portion( Upto 70%) of designer garment is textiles.
The program develops ability of students to cope with embroidery, weaving, knitting, printing and other ornamentations techniques with modern technical and computer skills through class room teaching, professional project and industrial training.
