Food Safety Supervisor Implement Food Safety Procedures Nationally Accredited Unit of Competency SITXFSA001A. This course is applicable to hospitality workers only and covers an introduction to HACCP, critical control points, food safety legislation, the role of an EHO and food safety program requirements. Participants will be required to complete and submit a written assessment based on their own workplace within 14 days of the completion of the training. Local Council Health Departments are responsible for registering food businesses and together with the Food Safety Unit of the Department of Human Services, determine the required food handling and supervisor qualifications. Food Safety Supervisors must obtain statements of attainment appropriate to their workplace industry as required by the Victorian Food Legislation. Statements of attainment are issued for Swinburne Food Safety courses. The course covers all areas of food hygiene, cross contamination and personal hygiene expectations in the workplace. The course explains in detail the Food Safety Templates required to be completed a by business and how to accurately fill them in. TSAs trainers have previously been Food Safety Supervisors and understand the legal requirements, but more importantly, understand the commercial realities in implementing these practices within the workplace.
