Master of Forensic Medicine The course broadly aims to develop academic standards in clinical forensic medical practice and produces graduates who have a sound knowledge of medico-legal principles. Students will develop practitioner skills in research as well as in providing clinical forensic services to the community. The program is offered in two streams - course work only or course work and minor thesis. Students will be required to complete all three core units (medical evidence; injury interpretation; ethics, medicine and the law) and a number of elective units from areas including; traffic medicine, custodial medicine, adult sexual assault, paediatric forensic medicine, forensic toxicology and forensic science. Further units may be selected from within other departments of the faculty.
