The Forklift Safety Training course is a 2-part 1 day program. The morning is classroom based instruction covering the following topics:
Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
Truck Components/Operating Controls
Characteristics of Forklifts
Safe Handling/Operating Procedures
Stability triangle / trapezoid.
Center of Gravity of the load and truck.
Capacity of Industrial Forklifts, data plates (reading & understanding)
Specific hazards & controls when driving an Industrial Forklift.
How to respond to an emergency situation involving an Industrial Forklift Truck.
The practical examination occurs in the afternoon. Students must complete a proper pre-use inspection and a driving evaluation. Upon successful completion students are issued a certificate of training valid for 3 years.

Forklift Safety

All workers who operate forklifts on a jobsite. OSHA requires all operators of forklift type equipment to have evidence of training in the safe operation of such equipment. Seminar is a classroom overview of the significant safety operation of forklifts on the job site. Workers will be tested on the in-class instruction prior to receiving a certificate of completion.

This Powered Industrial Truck training program exceeds OSHA and State regulations. The program is delivered using PowerPoint, video, and an easy-to-follow student handbook. Course material is reviewed with operators to ensure retention and understanding. Program content can be adjusted to meet particular issues or concerns. The instructor will routinely assist individuals with sticking points and allow for additional driving practice when necessary.
This forklift training program includes a written test and performance evaluation. Wallet card certificate are awarded to each successful candidate, which are valid for 3 years. Customer will receive copies of class rosters, testing & performance data, and student course evaluations.
