General Safety Induction (Construction) - Blue Card This course is intended to provide new and existing building and construction industry participants with the introductory understanding and knowledge needed to commence or continue work in the building and construction industry. Workers employed on a construction site must have completed the course in General Safety Induction (Construction Industry). After successful completion, participate receive a Statement of Attainment and a Queensland Government recognised numbered Safety Induction Card (Blue Card). This card is required for construction workers in Queensland. Topics covered include hazard identification and control measures, preparation for safe work practices, basic emergency procedures, fire fighting equipment, legislation, duty of cars and obligations of employers and workers. Study area Health Entry requirements There are no special entry requirements The participants must be 15 years of age and over. You are required to bring Photo ID on the day (Loganlea). Career possibilities Students will meet the mandatory industry requirements to work in the building and construction industry in Queensland. (requirement for entry to building site)
