Green Card Online Environmental The Green Card Environmental Training course has been designed toan educational basis for proactive environmental behavioural training in the work place environment. Staff members undertaking the course are empowered to facilitate change, not only in the office, but also at home and the flow on effects are significant.
Not only are the courses designed toproactive Environmental Officers of change, but they teach practical skills that can be useful in many situations, from:
* Auditing your company or personal carbon footprint, to
* Retrofitting or redesigning your building (coming soon!), to
* Managing water and waste (coming soon!), to
* Increasing your energy efficiency, and
* Managing and understanding current legislation.
At the end of each course, participants are asked to set goals and the Green Card Training Team then facilitates the completion of these goals via personal consultation. Goals are posted on the site (along with names of the goal setter) and this facilitates reuse of resources and communication between green card awardees. On successful completion of 4 modules, participants names will posted on the online database and participants will be awarded a pdf certifcate (to avoid excessive consumption of paper).
On average each of the 4 modules plus the 20 questions that follow take 1 hour to complete, so the course can be finished in a block of 4 hours. Participants can spread the modules out over the space of 30 days and certificates remain valid for 1 year.
The Green Card Environmental Training course is part of a larger behavioural training package run by Environment Partners but is designed to be a standalone component of that training and is particularly targeted towards smaller and medium sized businesses who have less need for organisational behavioural change and can focus on individual behavioural change.
