Intermediate French

This course begins a sequence of three courses (XL 4, XL 5, XL 6) covering the second year of college-level French. Excerpts from French literature serve as a basis for discussion. Instruction includes a review of advanced grammar.

This "Cours Pratiques" instruction is a contination of French 101, and covers vocabulary, grammar, compostition, and textual analysis. Emphasis is put on compostion, reading skills, and conversation ability. Overall, this course supports the more advanced areas of the French language. Phonetics lab included.

It includes review and expansion of the four language skills, as well as grammar. Writing and speaking will be improved through composition and class discussions of cultural/contemporary issues. The course is conducted in French. Prerequisite: FREN-102 or two years of high school French. Three hours lecture each week. Three credits. Three billable hours.

The Intermediate Course guides you through the whole Level 2 Book, Taxi 2, or Reflets 2.

Certificat de français intermémedaire III

The Intermediate Course leads you to the A2 Level as defined by the European Council.
