International Baccalaureate (Diploma) The diploma programme is an academically challenging full-time course studied over two years and is designed for 16-19 year olds who intend to progress to higher education.
You will study six subjects (three at higher level, three at standard level) plus the compulsory core modules which are:
Creativity, Action and Service- you will be required to complete 150 hours of extra-curricula activities which are designed to broaden your experience beyond the classroom
Theory of Knowledge- you will reflect and critically examine ways of knowing and different kinds of knowledge which you can apply to all your subjects
The Extended Essay- you will choose a subject related to your studies, independently research and write a 4000 word essay which is excellent preparation for the rigours of university life!
You will be assessed throughout the course both formally (through essays, oral examinations and written examinations) but also informally through group discussions and presentations.

You will choose one option from each group:
Group 1: English A1 (World and English literature)
Group 2: Modern Languages: Spanish
Group 3: Individuals and Societies: Economics, Geography, History
Group 4: Experimental Sciences: Biology, Chemistry or Physics
Group 5: Mathematics
Group 6: The Arts: Theatre Arts
