LEAN LEADERSHIP Workshop

This session focus on two components, namely,

1. Educating Leaders about Process Improvement using Lean methodologies. It will provide participants with an overview and foundational understanding of the Lean Principles, concepts and tools using the ‘DISC�improvement approach.

2. Working session to guide Executives through the steps needed to identify, prioritize and initiate potential Lean (or other type) projects as well as identifying facilitators and team leaders for these opportunities.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the two day workshop, participants will be better able to:

Build a common understanding of the importance of process management (managing and measuring the efficiency of operational processes and using a structured model to identify improvement opportunities)
Generate awareness of the critical role leaders play in any Lean initiative
Introduce the DISC improvement process and the most fundamental Lean tools and metrics
Identify project opportunities and support project teams in the strategic deployment of Lean
Better appreciation of Lean initiatives and its applications
A road-map to roll-out Lean initiative in Siemens VDO Automotive
Confirmed area to initiate 2-3 lean projects for piloting
Resources assigned to support the Lean initiative

To manage change ‘the right way� executives need to set clear targets for measurable return even in the so-called ‘soft skills�training associated with change. Too often Change Management programs seem to focus on ‘feel good�platitudes rather than on creating behavioral benchmarks.
