Master of Law and Management The Master of Law and Management (MLM) by coursework is a specially designed masters degree which provides advanced study in the disciplines of law and management. Participants will be able to establish or reinforce a legal specialisation while acquiring or consolidating an understanding of the functional areas of management.
The degree is directed towards the following:
Practitioners who have management responsibilities in a firm Lawyers dealing with corporations who need advanced legal knowledge and a solid understanding of the language and core concepts of management Practising managers in industry who seek to broaden both their management and legal expertise. The MLM is offered by the Faculty of Law with support from the Australian School of Business and the Australian School of Taxation.

Highway Law and Management ProceduresThis one-day course on Highway Law addresses the Statutory Duty of Care placed on Highway Authorities, as well as detailing powers available to them under the Highways Act 1980. Emphasis is given to the need for regular Inspection, efficient record keeping, and accident investigation to enable a robust defence against Public Liability claims.
Aims and Objectives: To present and discuss the various aspects of highway law, relating these to the need for effective day-to-day management of public highways To describe the various powers available to Highway Authorities to support this day-to-day management Learning outcomes: On completion of this course delegates will:
Be aware of the general duties and responsibilities of a Highway Authority, including the specific duties imposed by the Highways Act 1980 Have knowledge of available powers and procedures supporting safety and efficient management of public highways Be able to take appropriate and timely action to investigate, record and deal with incidents and accidents, and to give information in response to public liability claims
