The Graduate Certificate in Social Impact focuses on building the professional capacity of social managers and entrepreneurs of the future across the corporate, government and third (not-for-profit) sectors, enhancing their capacity to lead organisations by creating social and environmental value and to operate in a changed cross-sector social landscape where the dynamism of the market is also directed at social innovation.

The Master of Educational leadership is designed to provide aspiring and current educational leaders with an understanding of recent developments in theory, research, policy and practice in educational leadership.

The role of the front line manager is more complex and demanding than ever before. The transition to management re-frames peer relationships and implies added legal responsibilities amidst a new portfolio of management tasks.

Promotion to management does not have to be an overwhelming process. This course prepares current and potential managers for roles as a line manager or supervisor. Using practical real world approaches and examples, this program confronts the key challenges faced by emerging managers and provides them with the insights and skills to deal effectively with both expected and unexpected situations as they arise.

This three-day course aims to facilitate participant knowledge and skills to:

Understand the nature and scope of the management function

Build confidence in predicting and handling challenges

Recognise and apply leadership models that optimise complex interpersonal team dynamics

Construct compelling business cases using appropriate business terminology for senior management.

This short course will examine issues in relation to the leadership roles of health professionals who manage the care of older adults in varied acute, community and residential settings. Social and legal contexts relating to performance management and professional competency are considered. The short course incorporates relevant legislation including The Aged Care Act 1997, Accreditation, Occupational Health and Safety, and Principles under Common Law.
