Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions Workshop Coping with a chronic health condition can be extremely trying. Fatigue, pain, breathing difficulties, sleeping problems, loss of energy, depression and anxiety about the future are common.
Get information and practical skills to help manage the daily physical and emotional challenges of living with a chronic condition, and gain confidence and motivation to maintain an active and fulfilling life. Adults of all ages experiencing any ongoing or long-term health issues can attend, and family members, friends and caregivers are also welcome.
The workshop is led by a pair of certified Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) volunteer leaders. Most CDSMP leaders have chronic conditions themselves and have successfully adopted the strategies taught in the program to manage their own health. A Classroom course provided by UBC Continuing Studies in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
