Making Quality Informed Decisions Workshop Who should attend: People who analyse and use data from a wide range of sources with a focus on making policy-based decisions. This course is also suitable for those who may need to develop and manage data collections, and wish to look at quality improvement.
Course Outcomes: -Ability to determine a data need using a quality framework -The skills to quality assess and evaluate possible data sources in the context of the data need (using a quality framework) -Ability to identify the limitations of a data source -Using the results of the evaluation, the knowledge and ability to apply risk management concepts to make an informed decision
Course contents: -Learning about the ABS data quality framework -Framing data needs -Researching and organising data sources -Learning to assess datasets in context of data needs -Understanding the impact of data limitations on the decision -Using risk management to make a quality informed decision
