Mental FitnessWhether you are 8 or 88, a well functioning productive brain is crucial to your personal and professional success. As an employer or manager, you can make a difference to the brain power and productivity of your team. At 8 or 88 you can age proof your brain. Mental fitness is the name of the game.
Tony Buzan the inventor of Mind Mapping, affirms that anyone can age proof their brain "As the human brain gets older, on average its mental ability declines," he says. "That is totally unnecessary and not natural. The reason it declines is because people dont keep themselves physically fit, mentally fit or learn the basics of memory, which is imagination and association. They dont learn how to use any form of memory technique which is actually likely to be beneficial for their brain. These are all the things they need to do if their brain is not going to decline as they get older."
The key is understanding how our brains work and how our memory improves. This Short Course is based on Tony Buzan’s new programme and bestselling publication, “Age Proof Your Brain
The ageing of the workforce is the greatest challenge to face Australasian employers this decade. The available talent pool is dramatically shrinking; 85% of the new and growing workforce are over 45’s. Only employers, who understand how to attract, retain and utilise people from the whole generational spectrum will thrive. The key is that people’s essential cognitive skills can both be maintained and enhanced from their 20’s onwards, if the right action is taken now.
Topics Covered This fun, challenging participative Short Course includes a number of skill sets and modules, with practical exercises and applications:
