Classical Greek language and literature, like Latin is credited with the evolution of western intellectual thought. Today, Standard Modern Greek is the official language of Greece and Cyprus and used by approximately 15 million people worldwide.

Learn to speak modern Greek and explore the rich culture of Greece through conversational exercises that will help you develop your fluency. Our experienced instructors use a variety of communicative techniques to prepare you to meet the challenge of communicating with Greek-speaking people.

These courses are a combination of a ‘Standard Modern Greek Course�and private lessons. If you choose to study on a ‘Combined Modern Greek Course� you can use the private lessons to concentrate on whatever is most important to you �perhaps preparing for a specific exam, or learning the type of Greek that you need for your job. For example, if you want to learn to speak Greek, but writing the language is not so important to you, you could use your private lessons to practice speaking Greek.

This Modern Greek course, just 6 lessons/week, is an excellent choice if you want to learn to speak Greek, but have plenty of time to learn the language, being in Greece for several months. This course is not suitable, however, if you only have a few weeks to learn Greek, in which case, you should choose the ‘Standard�Modern Greek course.
