Multi-Track Recording Our Introduction to Multi-Track Recording course has been popular among home recordists and musicians alike for many years. We provide a good balance of theoretical and practical training which all takes place in the studio. This course delivers a comprehensive introduction to the analogue "recording chain", subjects covered include Consoles, Microphones, Multi-Track Recorders and Signal Processors. During the course our students are led through a complete recording session.
Course Outline
Class 1 - Book and materials handed out. Introduction to the "Recording Chain". Physics of Sound (Acoustics) Class 2 - The Recording Console. Signal routing continued. Class 3 - Microphones & Microphone Techniques. Class 4 - Miking Drums. A session drummer introduces students to the drum kit. Class 5 - Introduction to Signal Processors. EQ, VGA, Auxillary system. Class 6 - Introduction to the Multi-Track Recorder. Class 7 - Basic Multi-Track Recording session. Class 8 - Full Multi-Track Recording session. Bedtracks. Class 9 - Full Multi-Track Recording session continued. Overdubs. Class 10 - Full Multi-Track Recording session continued. Mixing.
