CISCO ROUTERS (Certificate)

Students learn configuration of Cisco routers and switches using Cisco’s IOS. The following topics will be covered: introduction to Internetworking Technology, concepts and commands required to configure Cisco Routers and switches in small to medium multi-protocol networks, experience configuring fully operational Cisco routers and switches, apply Cisco IOS software commands to start up and configure a newly installed router and switch, perform all basic configuration procedures to build a multi-router, multi-group network that uses LAN and WAN interfaces for the most commonly used routing and routed protocols.

The student will be able to challenge Cisco’s CCNA and CCENT certifications and the Comptia Server+ certification.

Cisco IOS Network Security (Certificate)

Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security (IINS) v1.0 is an instructor-led course presented by Cisco training partners to their end-customers. This five-day course focuses on the necessity of a comprehensive security policy and how it affect the posture of the network. Learners will be able to perform basic tasks to secure a small branch type office network using Cisco IOS security features available through web-based GUIs (Cisco Routers and Security Device Manager [SDM]) and the command-line interface (CLI) on the Cisco routers and switches.

Course Objectives

After completing this course the student will:

Develop a comprehensive network security policy to counter threats against information security
Configure rotuers to the network perimeter with Cisco IOS Software security features
Configure a Cisco IOS zone-based firewall to perform basic security operations on a network
