Outdoor Recreation (Certificate) This course is for people working or wanting to work in the outdoor recreation industry who need to develop skills required for employment within outdoor recreation agencies. You will learn how to conduct activities and/or programs with people in an outdoor recreation context under the direction of qualified personnel. You will develop core skills required to work in the outdoor recreation industry, such as how to organise work priorities, interact with clients and apply risk analysis and legal processes. You will have the opportunity to experience a selected range of outdoor activities, such as abseiling, bushwalking, climbing, canyoning, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, adventure-based learning, ski touring and/or mountain biking. You may also complement activity skills with a specialisation chosen from non-activity areas such as interpretive guiding in cultural, marine and land-based flora and fauna environments.
