Intermediate Photography Techniques This intermediate course in photography is designed to develop skills in digital photographic systems. The challenge for each student is to produce a higher level of photographic imagery based on his or her experience. This is achieved through lectures on pre-visualization, lens use, design, lighting, composition, and concept execution. All assignments are discussed weekly, providing each student with the tools necessary to improve their own images through style recognition and self-critique. Photography TechniquesStudy basic techniques for digital photo-graphic systems, including camera controls, metering, lighting, lenses, depth of field, film, charged coupled devices, white balancing, megapixels, file types and sizes, recording options, and storage media. Assignments are critiqued.
Prerequisites: Bring a single lens reflex (SLR) 35mm or point-and-shoot digital camera with manual capability to the class.
