Pilates Matwork On completion graduates will be able to plan, deliver and evaluate Pilates Matwork classes for clients in pilates studios and health and fitness centres, utilising comprehensive pilates matwork repertoire and techniques.
As this course is modules taken out of the Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction a transcript will be issued showing the passed modules on successful completion.
The course will be running in conjunction with the Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction and is therefore subject to the Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction course reaching minimum number of participants. Pilates InstructorThis course is offered in Verbier, Geneva, Lausanne, and Zurich. Covers anatomy, biomechanics and the principles of pilates along with cueing/ teaching techniques. Thirty-five pilates exercises will be taught along with progressions and regressions of each exercise. A course manual will be provided. Center, Strengthen, and Stretch with PilatesLearn how to effectively use your "core" muscles. Focus on lengthening and toning your postural muscles, otherwise known as the abdominals and back. Lift and strengthen your body into better posture with a combination of Pilates, deep stretching and centering movements.
Sessions include:
History, theory and application of techniques
Breathing technique, centering exercises
Preparation exercises focusing on abdominals and back
Postural awareness and lifestyle exercises
Beginner level Pilates exercises
Beginner level deep stretches
Using props (bands, balls, cushions, etc.) in your workout
