Residential Building Envelope and Structure Assessment and Repair Multi-unit and single-family residential building repair has become a large industry in Ontario. Assessment of the major repair needs and application of design and construction standards geared to new constriction for repair of existing buildings can be complicated and if incorrectly applied can result in poor quality and perhaps unsafe repairs. The seminar will explore various building designs and construction materials and how the application of the building code structural, health and life safety, and building materials are applied in the repair of multi-unit and single family buildings. This seminar will also address contracts and disputes associated with the typical contracts for building repair.
Objectives �To enhance participant’s knowledge in assessment and repair of residential buildings �To enhance participant’s knowledge in the application of the Ontario Building Code and referenced standards.
