Russian Level III - AdvancedEligibility for this course: Knowledge of Russian Intermediate
Structure of the course:
This course covers written comprehension, oral communication and expressions. It also covers the advanced level of grammar, conversation, discussion, writing essays, culture, civilization and business. Russian language is used extensively in class during discussions and role- playing. This helps the students to improve their fluency and speak correctly. This course gives continued practice in the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Opportunities are given to expand individual interests in reading materials and cultural items. Short stories, plays, essays, are brought to knowledge using a varied vocabulary. Russian is used extensively in class during discussions and role -playing.
After completion of this course one is confident to:
Ø Use and understand the language and vocabulary used in the text.
Ø Speak, read and write with improved ability and expanded vocabulary.
Ø Understand and be understood by a native speaker.
Ø Translate from English to Russian to demonstrate grammatical skills.
Ø Acquire a greater understanding of the Russian culture.
