History: Dot Aviation Training Institute was founded in September 2002 as private co-educational institution and is a member of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). The training programme is design to accommodate all genders, including young school leavers, student of tertiary institution, house-wives, carrier minded people, retirees etc.

At the conclusion of your studies you will be assisted in your Industrial Attachment Placement by our career service office.

MTI’s Travel and Tourism Diploma Program will give you the skills needed to be employed in the fast growing tourism industry. With the city of Vancouver hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics, there will be increasing demand for Travel and Tourism employees. You will gain business and field related theory and practical skills necessary for success in your new career. As part of your hands-on training you will learn both Apollo and Sabre the two main computer reservation systems used in Canadian travel agencies. This program is endorsed by the Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors (CITC) and is recognized world wide. After successful completion of this program you will sit the CITC exam. Your career in Travel and Tourism will prepare you to work in a wide variety of careers in the tourism industry such as tour operators, cruise specialists, airline reservation agents, airport gate agents, travel counsellors and hotel front desk agents. Start your training in Travel and Tourism and be one step closer to a rewarding and challenging career in a fast paced and dynamic industry.

We are a privately owned Travel and Tourism College situated in Randpark Ridge and have been operational for 10 years

We take only 60 students at the college and all students work towards achvieving a Diploma in Retail Travel and Wholesale Travel.

Once our students have completed their year of theory they need to complete a six month practical in industry, prior to graduation.

The course we offer is very ",hands on", as we are mostly industry people at the college and try to acknowledge and work with what is required by industry.

Travel Operations ( where the students are taught how to make reservations for trains, car hire, bus, hotel accommodation, tours etc and also to issue the relevant documentation )
