TEFL Teacher Training Certificate Workshop The TEFL Teacher Training Program at Young People’s Language School is an ideal program for local university graduates who would like to teach English abroad as well as for experienced English teachers from around the world who would like to improve their language skills and brush up on current language teaching methodology. YPLS also houses ESL programs for elementary, high-school and university age students, so you will have the opportunity to get involved right on site!
The TEFL certificate is equivalent to the TESL and TESOL certificates offered at other training institutions. What the above acronyms all refer to is the same: programming and certification either to take on English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching positions in non-English speaking countries at various levels - including elementary, high school, college, university -, or to take on English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching positions in English speaking countries at various non-degree-granting adult language schools.
Program Structure:
Participants can complete the 60-hour program or a 100-hour program in the evenings or during the day. Courses are offered seminar-style with limited class sizes. Participants will complete Level I with 14 foundational lessons, Level II with 4 elective lessons selected from the indicated options, and Level III as the practicum component.

Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign LanguageThe program seeks to address a particular niche within the area of the teaching of English - that of teaching English as a Foreign Language. This qualification is primarily intended for those who will teach in overseas-settings and does not qualify graduates to teach within Australia.

Through an articulation with select foreign universities, students can transfer up to 15 credits towards the electives requirement. AIM
The aims of the EDI Cert in TEFL are that by the end of the course, candidates will be able to:
