The Role of HR and Operating Management Workshop

The purpose of this 2-day workshop is to introduce the practical theories of organization development and change management and describe their practical applications, with special focus on the Action Research Model (ARM) and the Appreciative Inquiry Model (AIM) as well as strategies for building a willingness to change and management support for change at all levels. Participants will also learn about new developments in Organization Development and Change Management.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

Define Organization Development (OD) and distinguish it from change management (CM).

Explain how OD is different from 5 other change strategies in organizations.

Describe the Action Research Model (ARM) as it is used to guide change in groups.

Describe the Appreciative Inquiry Model (AIM) as it is used to guide change in groups.

Summarize recent developments in OD and CM.

Describe what the role of HR and operating management should be in OD and CM.
