Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Certificate)

During this course students will learn the aspects of transporting dangerous goods. Topics covered are; review of legislative requirements, responsibilities, classes of dangerous goods, labels and placecards, documentation requirements, and emergency response.

When the course is completed the student will receive a certificate that their future employer will sign off on.

This course examines the laws and regulations that apply to the carriage of dangerous goods. In this course the drivers will be taught the different classes of dangerous goods, how they affect the commercial truck driver,and the responsibilities of the driver when dangerous goods are on board.This course is designed for persons with a current background in transportation.

Instruction by a Modern Training Ontario representative will provide proper handling and transportation techniques of products classified as Hazardous Materials.

Compatibility of Hazardous Materials with other products will be explained. Emergency response procedures for possible disaster situations will be a manditory segment of this seminar.

The purpose of TDG training is to protect the general public and first responders from spills and or leaks of dangerous goods. Identification, training and safety standards will be covered in this course.
