Manicure, Pedicure and Waxing (Diploma)

This is a comprehensive program in which the student develops an extensive understanding of all the aspects of manicure/pedicure techniques. This includes treatments, anatomy, structure, shape, diseases and disorders of the nails, bacteriology, hygiene and the importance and methods of sterilization and sanitization. The step-by-step manicure/pedicure techniques include nail grooming, massages, aromatherapy enhancements and different polish application.
The hair removal segment involves the study of the hair, the different methods of hair removal and practical waxing techniques and procedures. This includes proper disinfecting and sanitization, contraindications and precautions and the different types of waxes used in the industry. The student will also learn the proper techniques of eyebrow shaping and additional services such as eyelash and eyebrow tinting.

This module encompasses the competencies required to analyse the temporary hair removal
needs of clients and provide the necessary service/s in a safe and hygienic manner. On
completion of this module the learner should be able to select and use a variety of hair camouflage
or removal techniques within commercially designated time frames and without damage to the
client.

Waxing services are in high demand in the hair and beauty industry. On completion of this course you will be able to perform both hot and strip waxing treatments on the face and body.

If you are already working in the hair and beauty industry performing waxing services, this advanced course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to perform a triple X service.
