Crisis Intervention

Course Format: Online / Virtual Classroom / Webinar
School/Trainer: Publicsafetycampus.com
  V

In the law enforcement business, you learn quickly that the term crisis is relative. What one person thinks is a crisis situation is seen by another as nothing more than an interesting set of circumstances. Cops probably fall into that category. We get called to deal with all kinds of crisis situations; some are situational, some are circumstantial, some are even seasonal. We need to be mindful of the fact that no one ever called the police to tell us that everything was all right. There is a crisis of some sort and our help has been requested. It is also prudent to note that all other attempts at verbal communication have probably been tried or clearly would not have been effective under the circumstances. If that is the case, it’s not our job to step in. This course will teach you how to properly and respectfully take control of a crisis situation, no matter what the specifics.
