ESOL course is the complete, interactive, fun and cost-effective way for speakers of other languages to learn English and is perfect for students, educational establishments, public sector and corporate clients.

REAL TALK English is delivered with real life dialogue, discussions, negotiations and conversations. It has a full range of computer-based activities including listening tasks, text display options, speaking and conversation exercises.

The on-line course consists of a full range of activities that can be accessed at Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the New Adult ESOL Core Curriculum. Each Entry Level has 10 different scenarios to work on. This is a versatile and flexible product intended to complement tutoring support OR used for teaching, revision and practice for students.

This course is designed to develop the language skills and knowledge required to fully participate in an English-speaking work or study environment. It leads to certification from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). The course allows students to develop their skills in reading, writing listening and speaking in English, and to develop confidence in interacting with others in a variety of contexts. Students will be able to increase their linguistic knowledge of specific aspects of work or study in contexts where English is the medium of communication.

Certification

Successful completion of the course leads to the award of the Intermediate II Certificate in English for Speakers of Other Languages from the Scottish Qualifications Authority.



Progression

The course may provide progression to:

a) Further or Higher Education courses where English is the language of instruction.
or
b) Training or employment where English is used as the language of communication.
