" Young People’s Language School of Canada (YPLS) offers ESL courses for students aged 19 to 35 who wish to study in Canada’s beautiful capital city. Come to YPLS and we will help you achieve your goals, whether it involves improving your English for post-secondary studies in Canada or your home country, or bettering your communication skills for work and recreation.

Our teachers and administrators will help you with the following:

�Orientation on first day

�Placement procedures

�Academic study skills

�Preparations for standardized assessments

�Academic counseling

�Applications to other educational institutions

Course Structure �25 hours of in-class instruction per week with optional 6 hours of activity time per week

�Independent study hours

�Modules for TOEFL or TOEIC

�Integrated, theme-based instruction focusing on all language skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar

Course Benefits �Interact with other international students during group work, class discussions, seminars and presentations

�Join classmates on cultural and leisure activities in and around Ottawa

�Learn to communicate effectively in English for study, work and travel purposes
