'' This highly practical, one day course has been designed to provide the necessary

information and guidance in order for delegates to be able to carry out workplace risk

assessments and to implement risk management strategies and principles.

Prerequisites
Members of Information Security teams charged with the responsibility of writing policies and procedures, and assisting

business owners manage Information Security risk; local security co-ordinators; staff working in Internal Audit; staff working for business operations who have a responsibility for the protection of information assets; IT Managers.

Attendance of the Fundamentals of Information Security course would be of benefit but is not essential.

Delegates will learn how to
Define a risk management strategy appropriate to your own organisation;
Understand the different stages of risk assessment �the activities, the contributors and the deliverables;
Produce a system for classifying information systems;
Understand the main components of an information classification scheme.
