'' the sun java system identity manager: advanced deployment course provides students with the knowledge and skills to complete the four phase deployment scenario introduced in the idm-345: sun java system identity manager: deployment fundamentals course. the advanced deployment course focuses on the more complex deployment topics necessary to deploy phases three and four of the deployment scenario introduced in the deployment fundamentals course. in phase three of the deployment scenario, students complete the activesync synchronization scenario introduced in the previous course by synchronizing identity information between hr, active directory, the corporate ldap directory service, the contractor sql database, and the solaris operating system. students implement the necessary forms, rules, and workflow to meet the business requirements of the given case study. in phase four of the deployment scenario, students build an end user self-service provisioning strategy that allows contractors to perform self-registration and allows contractors and employees to request system resources with resource approvals. students implement the necessary forms, rules, and workflow to meet the business requirements of the given case study and learn how to further customize the sun java system identity manager (identity manager) system.
