'' The TEFL Diploma course is designed for students who plan to teach English in their home country. The 12-week programme is offered by our University of Cambridge-approved CELTA Teacher Training department and is taught by specially-trained teachers.

The TEFL Diploma programme has three components: language development, teaching theory and teaching practice (practicum). The 40-hour practicum contains observation and observed teaching practice. Successful completion of the Diploma programme is adequate preparation for students who intend to write the TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) Cambridge Examination administered by Cambridge ESOL.

The course is designed to give both experienced and new teachers a chance to develop their own skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. It prepares students to teach English as a foreign language in their home country.

Error Correction, Testing and Evaluation
Using Published Materials, Evaluating Materials
Teaching Children and Young Learners
TEFL Diploma students have access to the CELTA Teacher Training resource centre. This is a library for teacher trainees that contains reference books, teaching materials and computer resources.

Schedule
The TEFL Diploma follows the same schedule as 25 Lessons.

Placement Test
The student completes a written placement test first to ensure that the minimum score is met before proceeding with the application. Please contact LSC for the test.
