'' There is a pre-requirement for entry onto the Massage Diploma Course, this is an ITEC Anatomy & Physiology Diploma or recognised equivalent.
This course has been designed alonside the ITEC syllabus. It is delivered by highly experienced and qualified tutors, who are dedicated to ensuring your experience is rewarding and fun.
The Academy sets high standards due to the National recognition of professional massage therapists. All aspects will be covered ensuring at completion you will look, talk and massage as a professional therapist.
The Guided Learning Hours for this course are 60 hours,which includes contact teaching, continual assessment together with supportive individual tutorials,
5 Case Studies of 4 treatments each are a requirement of the Examining Body. Guidance will be given to ensure criteria set by ITEC is achieved.
The course will cover the following subjects:
HISTORY, THEORY & PHILOSOPHY OF MASSAGE:
PHYSIOLOGICAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF MASSAGE ON THE BODY:
CONTRA-INDICATIONS: IMPORTANCE OF THESE IN RELATION TO CLIENT CARE & MODESTY:
NATURAL THERAPIES AND THEIR IMPORTANCE TO A PROFESSIONAL THERAPIST:
CONSULTATIONS, BODY LANGUAGE AND INTEGRAL BIOLOGY.
THE MASSAGE ROUTINE WILL INCORPORATE THE 6 CLASSICAL MASSAGE MOVEMENTS.
Appropriate wear for the course will consist of White shirt/T Shirt Dark Trousers and Comfortable black shoes.
* Please Note Uniform will be required for the exam*
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED PRIOR TO PRACTICAL STARTING.

STUDENT INSURANCE is mandatory by ITEC and can be obtained through EMBODY.
In preparation for the theory and practical exams, there will be mock exams to ensure students are fully prepared and aware of all requirements.
The Course fees include:
