Course Description:

'' Learn how to effectively use your "core" muscles. Focus on lengthening and toning your postural muscles, otherwise known as the abdominals and back. Lift and strengthen your body into better posture with a combination of Pilates, deep stretching and centering movements.

Sessions include:

History, theory and application of techniques

Breathing technique, centering exercises

Preparation exercises focusing on abdominals and back

Postural awareness and lifestyle exercises

Beginner level Pilates exercises

Beginner level deep stretches

Using props (bands, balls, cushions, etc.) in your workout

Special populations and modifications ...''
