Course Description:
'' Interior designers give form to the spaces in which we spend our lives. Their work includes programming, design analysis, as well as specifying and designing all aspects of interior spaces. Using specialized knowledge of interior construction, building codes, materials, lighting and furnishings, interior designers prepare drawings and documents in order to protect the heath, safety and welfare of the public.
Interior Design is both an art and a science. Its purpose is to enhance quality of life and facilitate human activity. The study of this discipline is best served by combining the broad cultural knowledge and critical-thinking development characteristic of the liberal arts education with emphasis on the unfolding of creative, technological, and design capabilities in order to foster the relationship between knowledge and application, theory and practice.
