Course Description:
'' Fundamental concepts in screening capital investment such as the time value of money, discounted cash flow, critical factors that affect the interest/return rate, developing cash flow forecasts, incremental cash flow, capital budgeting decisions, and evaluating acquisitions that do not have a history of generating cash flow will be discussed. Learn how to choose the best of several good opportunities and how your decisions can increase the organization’s value. This session uses information on costs and their behaviour to provide you with the tools to improve your decision-making.
Course Content This course includes an examination of management accounting concepts of cost behaviour. We will employ cost-volume-profit analysis and relevant costing to demonstrate how you can make better decisions by using the information provided through sources such as the accounting information system. We will also consider the impact of the performance measurement system on the decision-making process.
