'' Through this module, we will aim to provide you with an understanding of the principles of project management. You will also learn how to develop a charter that will guide the project team and the stakeholder community through the execution and completion of any project.
Course Content Organizations perform work through ongoing operations and projects. Projects are temporary endeavours undertaken to create a new product or service. Managing them requires the application of various skills, tools, and techniques geared to meeting stakeholder needs and expectations. This involves balancing the competing demands scope, time, cost, and quality, while meeting the different requirements of a range of stakeholders.
We will offer you a project management framework that will provide a basic structure for understanding project management. The component processes that make up project management will then be presented and discussed.
Some of the topics covered in the course include: Project alignment; Priority triangle; Deliverables breakdown structure; Scheduling and budgeting; Risk assessment; Target setting; Scheduling for reality; Tracking and reporting; and, Day to day management—the Rolling RACI+. ...''
